How we work
Good tile starts with the surface under it. A typical project includes:
- Removal of existing tile and flooring
- Subfloor preparation and floor leveling
- Surface preparation and repair
- Heated floor system installation, when requested
- Waterproofing and moisture protection, including steam shower waterproofing and preparation
- Tile installation on floors, walls and shower surfaces
- Custom niches, benches and tile details
- Grouting, silicone at corners and changes of plane, and sealing of natural stone and grout where required
- Final cleanup
Older homes and complex layouts. In older houses we often find uneven floors that need additional leveling and subfloor preparation before any tile goes down. Complex geometry, multiple angles and detailed cuts take careful planning. We pay particular attention to waterproofing, consistent grout joints and clean transitions between tiled surfaces.
Tile installation FAQ
How long does a bathroom tile project take?
It depends on the scope. A kitchen backsplash can take about 3 days, while a full bathroom renovation with demolition, plumbing and a custom shower can take two to three weeks.
Do you waterproof showers?
Yes. We waterproof shower areas with a Schluter system, including the shower base, and seal inside corners.
Can you install heated floors under tile?
